Cynthia Jensen
Since Cindy was a child, she has had a tremendous love of art and a great appreciation for the beauty in the world around her. She spent countless hours, as a child, outside enjoying nature in the backyard of her childhood home. She vividly remembers the crisp air, summer breeze, and the birds chirping as she and her brother would collect bugs in the yard. As Cindy began Junior High School, she decided to take a beginning drawing course. She immediately fell in love with drawing. Her art teacher was a very encouraging woman and started Cindy towards the path that would change the rest of her life. Art quickly became a part of who she was. As she advanced on to high school her art skills advanced as well. She had a wonderful teacher that helped her to further develop her talents both in pottery as well as in painting. Deeply inspired by her art teachers, she decided to study art education and attended The University of Utah. Cindy and her husband Dave have 6 children and she now works from her home studio in beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona, overlooking the Colorado River. She has taught art privately as well as in a public-school setting. Cindy has entered her work in juried shows and has won multiple first place awards as well as other awards. In 2019 Cindy wrote and illustrated a children’s book titled, “The Tiniest Little Star” which she later also published in Spanish and has sold thousands of copies. It has blessed the lives of many children, including her own grandchildren. Cindy has always had a strong passion for motherhood and family and a strong testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ. As she creates her art, her prayer is that it will testify of Him and bring light, love, and joy into the lives of all who view it.
